Gotta say, I love the comic. I happened upon it while looking up information about living aboard a boat funny enough, which I’m quite glad for. Your art style is great; nothing overly complicated but still beautiful. My favorite pages are the one which are done on the brown paper, quite a wonderful effect.

On the topic of living on a boat though; it’s a goal I’m working eagerly towards. I hope in the near future to own a sailboat which I can call home. Until then, I find solace in your comic and staring at nautical maps, planning out some expansive dream journey.

There’s no time like the present, Mr. Samuel. This is a great time to buy a boat if you put some good research into it. With the tanked economy some perfectly good boats are getting abandoned because people can’t make their slip fees. If you have more time than money you could get a boat for next to nothing and make it a beaut with elbow grease and ingenuity. More money than time will buy you a very nice but neglected vessel.

Thank you for the kind comments. Sometimes it feels like I’m drawing in a vacuum and it’s very motivational to know someone is enjoying the end result.

There are a couple of beauties sitting in a nearby marina for 30k and under actually, also one that broke off from its mooring which would take probably more money than it’s worth to fix. Unfortunately, I’m a in a bit of an unsure situation with various work prospects looming over the horizon and money is far too tight to even think about spending the price most are asking for. Funny enough though, with all of the melancholy feelings I get when I stare at down the docks, I consider them helpful; they make me go online and research more, make me really do my homework on it.

Also, I checked out the link to Jawless Fishes; great stuff, I love folk music.
